A true Arkansan, Dr. Michael Ashcraft was born in Rison, Arkansas and graduated from Rison High School in 1980. He graduated from the University of Central Arkansas at Conway in 1984 with a bachelor’s degree in science. He was named a member of the Honorary Odontological Society in 1986. He received his dental degree from the University of Tennessee in 1988. He was certified by the Arkansas Board of Dental Examiners in June of 1988. He completed his orthodontic residency at the University of Tennessee at Memphis in 1990, where he also earned a Master of Science in Orthodontics. He has been in private practice since 1990. Dr. Ashcraft is an active member in many leading organizations, including the American Association of Orthodontists and the Arkansas State Dental Association.
Dr. Ashcraft regularly supports local charitable organizations. In the past, he has provided free orthodontic treatment to underprivileged or underserved families through several local churches. He has donated contributions to Ronald McDonald House, Big Brother/Big Sister programs, CARTI, the American Heart Association, Arkansas Children’s Hospital, the Junior Deputy league, the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, and Pulaski Technical College.
Dr. Ashcraft lives with his wife of over 30 years, Pamela, in North Little Rock. They have two grown children: Chris and Brent. In his free time, he enjoys family activities involving the outdoors, primarily hunting and fishing. He is an avid Arkansas Razorbacks fan.
