Keeping Teeth Healthy During the Holiday’s

The holiday season can wreak havoc on your oral care if you aren’t careful. Open dishes of candies, tins of popcorn, and party after party present us with temptations. The sugars and acids in these foods can cause damage. Enjoy the holiday fare, but be sure to take a few extra steps to keep your teeth healthy and beautiful.

  1. Brush your teeth after eating sugary foods if at all possible.
  2. If you can’t brush your teeth, chew gum, or at the least rinse your mouth with water.
  3. Eat fruits and vegetables—the vitamins and nutrients in these foods will help protect your teeth.
  4. If at all possible, avoid constant snacking and an excess of high-sugar foods.
